Is your lure standing out?

When your lure hits the water, it doesn’t enter a quiet empty space. It drops into a world that has a lot going on. Currents are pushing vegetation, baitfish are moving, debris is drifting around, other boats making noise. All of these things are creating movement, pressure and vibrations. To a fish, your lure isn’t the only thing they are detecting. It’s just one signal in a crowded environment and if it doesn’t stand out, you don’t get bit.

The sweetest looking bait may not get touched. Not because the fish aren’t there, Your lure choice may not be noticeable to matter. If there is a lot going on underwater, only the strongest signals get bit. Contrast, motion, and vibration is what separates your bait from the noise.

Once this is understood, you’ll think differently. Selecting not what looks good to you but what the fish can actually find. If they can’t find you, they can’t bite it.
